For some patients (e.g. heavy ones, more active ones) we provide our most durable tokens.
Their function and ranges of motion are the same as in regular tokens, but they have been made thicker and stronger. Due to the reinforced design, once they are fastened, it is difficult to unfasten them again.
That's why special pins are included, in the package which allow you to temporarily lock the tokens into the orthosis without permanently fastening them, until you are sure that the selected range of motion, or locking angle, is appropriate. The pins allow the orthosis to be fully functional.

Once you have tested the functionality of the orthoses with various tokens, you can remove the pin and attach the second part of the token instead.
In case you feel the need to change the tokens once fully locked, please be very precise and careful while doing so - try to distribute the force evenly and lift the coverage a bit on each side, then try making the opening bigger.
