Before Patient Arrives
- Video resolution (min 1080p) → highest possible video quality
- 4K is the most beneficial
- Check scan room lighting (no over exposure or under exposure on scanned limb)
- WIMBA Scan Mat is flat on hard & flat surface
- Proper camera & WIMBA Dolly trajectory (estimated for patient)
- No smudges or streaks on the lens
- Prep with staff and appropriate support & reinforcement for patient
Prepare Patient for Scan
- Support patient’s anxiety/comfort
- Bandage correctly applied: the bandage is smooth, the bandage covers affected joint and extends to the proximal and distal joint
- Hair/objects don’t cover Bandage
- Mat Colors (blue/green) visible
- Patient in the correct position
- Coverage of entire limb on film - full rotation around limb
Review Scan (Patient rests)
- Video resolution on phone (1080p +)
- Bandage did not slide down
- Bandage is smooth, no wrinkles
- Bandage covers affected joint and extends to the proximal and distal joint (We can’t design what is not covered by bandage)
- Hair/objects don’t cover Bandage
- Mat Colors (blue/green) visible
- Patient didn’t move during scan
- Coverage of entire limb on film - full rotation around limb
- Focus maintained on limb
